I have always used a car and can’t imagine living well without using a vehicle. Pedestrians, bicyclers and transit users get in the way.
Cars get my work done faster. I can go out day or night, rain or shine, snow or cold, and I will always be comfortable and be able to get where I want to go without getting tired, or sweaty, or wet, or run over by a car. I am in control.
I can haul many things with my car, especially other people. This is a big advantage. I don’t have to wait for a bus, or sit next to somebody who I don’t like, and they don’t like me. I don’t have to worry about getting injured while I am walking or riding a bicycle because I don’t have to do those things, because I have a car.
I am not going to ride transit. I will only go somewhere in my car. Transit is dirty and dangerous. It’s also expensive. Do you know how much it cost me in gas to go between a couple subway stops, well it’s a whole lot less than the subway fair
I refuse to be seen walking, or riding a bicycle, or traveling in transit. I refuse to be a low class person who can’t afford a car, or can’t understand why a car is better. Walking, riding a bicycle, or using transit is a low class way to travel. It’s 30, dangerous, and insulting. There’s always someone swearing, spitting, or being loud and abusive. I will always own and use the car and I will never travel any other way. Why should I?
Cars help me every day of the year. If its raining, snowing or below zero, its ready to go. I don’t have to buy a ticket, wait in line or sit next to someone I don’t like.
I load my car with my kids, groceries and whatever I need. Can you imagine carrying 5 bags of groceries on the bus?
I’m not going to be late for work everyday, or end up dead because I can’t get to the emergency room before its too late. My car has saved my life more than once and I will never give it up.
Global warming is not a problem. Remember how cold it was last year? How can global warming happen if its so hot all the time?
